Soap Experiences

Soap Making

Come learn the entire process of making soap the old fashioned way from pure oils and lye.  Diane will give you a short history and advantages  of homemade soap and will guide you step by step to making your own pure soap with your choice of color and scent. you will measure your own quality oils including Shea and Cocoa butters and  you will leave with 16 oz of soap ready to cut into bars the next day!

 

Part of the process of soap making is waiting for oils to cool.  During this hour we will share an English Tea or Smoked Salmon while you choose your soaps scent and color.   During the spring and summer you can also enjoy a stroll through Diane and Rick's gardens or sit by the pond and enjoy the Koi.  In the fall and winter a real wood fire will be blazing inside our Timber Ridge style home.  


This one of a kind experience makes a great birthday party for adults, a ladies night out, or couple's Northwest date night.  Write Diane in contact info above to arrange a date and time that works for your group.  Due to set up, time and expense we need to have a minimum of three people to hold a class.

 

What to bring:  Each participant needs to bring a hand towel to wrap your soap for 24 hours.  You will unwrap and cut your soaps at home the next day.

How to Book:  Use contact box above to write Diane to arrange a time and date that works for your group.  Class is 3-4 hours long. The class is 65.00 per person.  An invoice will be sent to arranger of party and 50% must be paid to book party.

Lotion Making

Learning to make lotion is fun and easy!  In this class you will measure your own oils for a rich moisturizing body lotion.  You will also choose your own scent from over 25 essential oils and fragrance oils.

Part of the process of lotion making is waiting for the lotion to cool. During this hour we will share lavender shortbread and a seasonal beverage.   During the spring and summer you can also enjoy a stroll through Diane and Rick's gardens or sit by the pond and enjoy the Koi.  In the fall and winter a real wood fire will be blazing inside our Timber Ridge style home.
