Soap and NW Smoked Salmon

Learn to make soap with essential oils

  • 65 US dollars
  • 24215 SE 228th St.

Service Description

Soap Experience is $65.00 per person. You will learn the entire process of making soap the old fashioned way from pure oils and lye. Diane will give you a short history and advantages of soap making and will guide you step by step to making your own pure soap with your choice of color and scent. Part of the process of soap making is waiting for lye and oils to cool. During this hour we will share a true Northwest appetizer of Rick's homemade smoked salmon with cheese and crackers. During the spring and summer you can also enjoy a stroll through Diane and Rick's gardens or sit by the pond and enjoy the Koi. In the fall and winter a real wood fire will be blazing inside our Timber Ridge style home. This one of a kind experience makes a great birthday party for adults, a ladies night out, or couple's Northwest date night. Better yet, sign up for the class yourself and come meet some new friends. What to bring: Each participant needs to bring a hand towel to wrap your soap for 24 hours. You will unwrap and cut your soaps at home the next day. Looking forward to sharing the love of soap making in a NW setting with you on a Sunday afternoon! If you want a different date contact Diane through email and we can arrange a date. Due to set up, time and expense we need to have a minimum of three people to hold a class. If a class does not fill we will email you within 48 hours of the class and either reimburse you or add you to a future class--your choice.
